AGRICULTURAL AND NUTRITION RESEARCH LABORATORY (ANRL)

The ANRL research program at MARC provides two major functions. Provide analysis of soil, water and plant (food) products for different parameters and conduct specific research project under different thematic area. The research program is categorized into three research projects: Agricultural chemistry, Food sciences and Microbiology. Activities on agricultural chemistry focus on assessment quality parameters for agro-chemical inputs (fertilizer (organic and inorganic), pesticides, physio-chemical profiling and characterization of agro-products and its environment (soil and water). The food science project focuses on food, feed and agro-environment safety assessment and development of innovative analytical methods, nutrition and value addition, food processing, preservation and handling techniques/technologies.
