Aromatic Medicinal and Bio-energy Laboratory (AMBL) is a sub Center of Wendo Genet Research Center (WGRC). Currently, Essential Oils Research made its research around the aromatic and medicinal area under WGRC. AMBL conducts chemical analysis and product formulation of the products of Essential Oils Research.

It tests aromatic plants quality, specification and data sheet and analyses different activities of medicinal plants jointly with Addis Ababa University (AAU). As of June 2010, AMBL moved officially to EIAR Headquarters in the previous Agricultural Research Training Project (ARTP) office. AMBL moved its new laboratory with its researchers and laboratory technicians.
