Innovating stakeholder-driven technologies for high-value root crops, specialty vegetables, and seed spices to combat malnutrition and boost commercialization.

Over the past decade, KARC's horticulture program has developed and released more than 16 improved varieties, including potato, garlic, onion, shallot, seed spices and root crops. Research validates best management practices covering N-P rates, plant spacing density, and year-round urban home garden production.
