Main Purpose
- Conducting assessment on the success of agricultural research programs and projects, benefits, as well as results and studying acceptability and sustainability of improved agricultural practices.
- Undertaking assessments and other tasks on quality assurance studying the research system.
- Make a continuous contribution to increase the agricultural production and productivity of the country.
Expected Results and Activities
- Planning, organizing, coordinating and directing the activities of the directorate,
- Conducting research and assessments on the success of agricultural research programs and projects,
- Monitoring and evaluating the quality of agricultural research key activities/results and confirm the continuity of quality research,
- Development of operational systems to help modernize agricultural research,
- Enhancing the capacity of the directorate as well as relevant stakeholders to help carry out its responsibilities appropriately,
- Strengthening relations with international and national development and research partners and
- Ensuring that data and information of the directorate is properly organized and made accessible.
Programs of the Directorate
- Quality Assurance Research Program
- Develops and updates quality assurance standards, guidelines and procedures for key activities/results of agricultural research,
- Monitors and evaluates implementation of key functions against quality baselines,
- Designing quality improvement and quality defect prevention measures and guides their applicability,
- Confirms the quality of various agricultural research strategies, plans and reports,
- Confirms the better performance and quality of research by coordinating with other stakeholders,
- Identify risks that may occur in the management of the quality of the institute’s research results and find a way to reduce them through research and
Develop operational systems to help modernize agricultural research.
2. Evaluation Research Program
- Doing research on impact of agricultural research programs and projects,
- Coordinates and directs the results of agricultural research programs and projects.
- Conducts research on acceptability and sustainability of improved agricultural technologies and information,
- Researches and forecasts the success of the institution’s results and benefits and
- Coordinating and doing research to know the level of satisfaction of users.
