EIAR and the UoG sign MoU to strengthen collaborative research and capacity building

EIAR and UoG signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on June 30, 2023, at EIAR headquarters aiming to enhance their collaboration in joint research and capacity-building efforts.

Dr. Feto Esimo, Director General of EIAR, stressed the significance of this collaboration, emphasizing the opportunity to share knowledge and expertise. He went on to say that this arrangement is a critical step in expanding their partnership to new heights. The president of the University of Gonder, Dr. Asrat Atsedeweyn, expressed his appreciation for the contribution made by the EIAR to the advancement of agricultural research in Ethiopia. He further said that by fusing research know-how, theoretical ideas, and present physical resources, the understanding helps to increase the commitment to working together to bring impact in Ethiopian agriculture.

On the occasion, it is highlighted that these institutions want to make important contributions to the agricultural landscape of Ethiopia and beyond through their collaborative efforts.
